Not sure if I'll do a Fender Trem plate or do a Mastery Vibrato. I want a vintage spring, that is all! The Mastery Vibrato spring(which I played around with today!!!!) is really fantastic. So... vintage unit... AVRI Unit with a mastery spring, or Mastery unit. I have vintage on all my offsets. I can't stand the blank plate on my VI... it was really bothering me today. My buddies have a 58-60 plate that I might try and buy off them. |

I think too far in advance... sorry! The pickguard has been destroyed for my buddies' custom record pickguards. While you can't make a guard out of a normal 12", they found some jump size records to make guards out of. So this has been sacrificed to the router template gods... I had every part, save for tremolo, planned out and bought within an hour of buying the VI as well as where each leftover piece was going. It is a sickness or a gift... I don't know which. |

Also, and if you go with a white guard it is easy to change back to a tort if you can't live with it. Painting the headstock white, that should just be done automatically regardless of pickguard color. |
