From the home page, click on the Listen tab; go to the bottom of the page and click on the Android icon; this takes you to the Android App Store, from where you can download a Shoutcast player, which you need to listen. —Last edited: Mar 09, 2014 01:07:18 |

I've also tried unsuccessfully to get NSSR on my Android phone. I can't find it by going to the App Store. If I Google "Shoutcast," it would appear that the app is no longer available for Android phones. john — |

I think you need to install a shoutcast compatible app. Try going to the Google play store and searching for shoutcast, there are a bewildering number of apps that support this format. I'll try to do this shortly and report back. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea Last edited: Mar 09, 2014 14:14:38 |

Here is how I did it. I am sure there are many other ways to do this. You need an internet radio app for your phone or tablet. There are millions of these things. I tried at random the XiiaLive player. You can find it in the Google Play store or use this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.DroidLiveLite Once I had the XiiaLive app installed, I opened it. I then went to favorites and pressed the Add URL. I then typed this in: http://server-23.stream-server.nl:8426/listen.pls It is quite tedious to type this into your phone. I wonder if Neils could add NSSR to some directory? I did search for North Sea Surf Radio first but came up empty. So I had to type that in, then click next, then save. Then it is in your favorites and you can play it. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

XiiaLive works perfect for Android, that´s what I use myself. Niels Jansen To submit your surf music to North Sea Surf Radio send the tracks as .mp3 in 320kbps bitrate with correct tags to playlist@northseasurfradio.com via Dropbox. North Sea Surf Radio: Website- Facebook - Twitter |

Another simple solution - I'm getting a higher sound quality (better stream? dunno) on Android using a web browser open on NSSR site's own flash player. Last edited: Mar 09, 2014 19:53:37 |

Doesn't Radio Tuna work on Androids? It does on iPods. — |

XiiaLive does, indeed, work well for NSSR. However, you can also download the free App, Surf Radio (from Speedo Apps). Works great on my Android phone. AND, there are a few other stations on the list as well. John — |

I use the TuneIn radio app on my Windows phone. They have an app for all OS phones & tablets. Love the station by the way! |

VLC for Android also works well under Open MRL. |

THIS. Caveman simple. Install, Open, grab NSSR that is already listed. And, as John, mentions as of this date several other stations listed. Admittedly it is not going to give me 670 AM to follow Cub games but I have an HF radio & a loooonnngg wire & a Crazy Aces t-shirt for that. Thank you John & Merry Christmas!
