Decided to stop by the Ibanez web site, to peruse their latest offerings, and came across their RC330T Roadcore . I'll have to stop by my nearest Ibanez dealer, soon as I can to try one, but I'm feeling a bit of G.A.S. coming on.

Nice looking guitar. I have a soft spot for Ibanez. I've had 5 of them. Let us know what it's like when you try it out.

I like the blue sparkle one...basswood body though. These look like a retro version of the Roadstar which was a pretty rugged and good playing guitar.

I overlooked the basswood body. Make it an alder body and I'm sure you'd have a winner. Maybe the basswood is okay. My Gretsch Electromatic Jet is basswood, and it's good enough for me.

If you like Ibanez guitars I suggest you try to find a second hand Ibanez Jet King. Solid mahogany body, cool looks, great neck and can usually be found for a very low price -- got mine for 150 euros in virtually untouched state.

Also heard good things about another previous model, the Talman electric, but never played one.

Lee, I do have a JTK2 JetKing, along with a Artcore AG75TBS and a GAX30. The coil tapped humbuckers is what sold me on the JTK2 JetKing. Further along, Ibanez had released a JTK30 JetKing with P-90s, then a JTK40 with a Bigsby and humbuckers. Perhaps if I could find a used JTK40, I could always swap out the humbuckers for 'bucker-sized P-90s. But, I'll keep my eyes on the RC330T Roadcore, for now. Should I actually add one to my collection, this year, I'm thinking Lipsticks like that Talman has might be worth doing.

A 330T (strat style pickups/trem) is my main guitar. It went immediately to this position after I picked it up on a whim. I payed $250 for it (new). I had to put a new nut on it, set intonation, and string height. Fretwork is fair, neck is strat standard dimensions and 'c-shaped'. The electronics are high quality and noiseless.

I'd almost forgot about this, until it got bumped. Seems I've missed the boat, on the Roadcore RC330T. The re-released Talmans look promising, however, and for just four bills. No real plans, for now. Too many other distractions to worry about new guitars.
