Another almost impossible task... and like the last top tens, I am immediately going to feel as though I am betraying other great records. I just have to look at this as a snapshot of favorites at this moment. In that, I am happy to share:

We are however looking for Surf Revival Albums so I am afraid you need to make some adjustments.

I only recently rediscovered "Hasheeda" in context of the discussion about the lost album of the Treble Spankers, I hadn't listend to it in years and it was a very interesting exoerience to revisit the record again. I almost forgot how big a role it had for me in shaping my personal understanding of surf music.
Concerning "Sonic Bullets" I am actually a bit suprised that it is part of quite a few lists so far. I always had the impression that it was the least favoured Bimbi Molesters album among surf music fans because of its turn to a more sophisticated and diverse production. Which is actually one of the things that make it valuable to me (and it was also the first album by them I got my hands on).

With Bambi Molesters it´s difficult, I could have easily picked As The Dark Wave Swells, Intensity or Dumb Loud Hollow Twang but tracks like Double Danger, Theme From Slaying Beauty, Malaguena and Chaotica made me pick Sonic Bullets in the end.
As for Hasheeda, The Treble Spankers got me into surf music in 1993 so that had to be my number one. I have seen them about a dozen times back then and they were awesome, lots of good memories.

Matthew Lentz
USA
I picked the stuff that got me into playing surf music after I got out of the army in 1990. Some of you would say it's not surf, but it definitely pushed me to form a surf band in 1992. So, these are things that either influenced me greatly, or just plain blew me away.
- Meshugga Beach Party : Sixteen Songs of the Chosen Surfers
- The Mummies: Never Been Caught (But Play Their Own Records was my favorite, killer organ instrumentals)
- The Phantom Surfers: 18 Deadly Ones
- The Untamed Youth: Some Kinda Fun
- The Untamed Youth: More Gone Gassers
- Jon and the Nightriders: Stampede
- The Baronics: Get Bach
- The Fathoms: Fathomless
- The Aqualads: Treasures
- The Phantom Surfers: Play Music from the Big Screen Spectaculars
I could change the order, but since #1 is the one that will stick (or Schtick), that's the one that would always remain at the top.

After some thought, I did not put in an album (vinyl) which I should have. It came out in the 80's & is REALLY surf music instrumentals...so
#11: The Cruncher "Go Surfin' With the Cruncher"
They were a German band & featured the talents of Herbert Hooke on lead guitar. Is anyone here familiar with them ?
BTD is correct in posting "a top 20 or 25 may have been better".

I don't know, if they were really a band. As far as I know, Herbert Hooke plays most (all ?) instrumental parts.

A good choice and, I believe, the first album from the UK to get a mention.
