Phil Dirt says he's into mastering surf recordings. His website http://www.reverbcentral.com doesn't have any examples yet. Has anyone used Phil's mastering services? Got a link to any of his work? Ever deal with the guy?
Thanks,

I know that Voodoo Court used him for their last album. It sounded great.

OK, thanks. I found Voodoo Court on Reverbnation. I emailed Mark, asked if Phil mastered those tunes. They sound very robust.

Phil mastered a couple of Urban Surf Kings releases: Bang Howdy Partner, and Retro-sonic. Great guy to work with indeed! He really earned his money with Bang Howdy Partner (home studio recording, and my first time mixing a full length release).

Mr. Dirt also did the mix and mastering for "Dumb Loud Hollow Twang", the debut album of the Bambi Molesters (but NOT the rerecorded "deluxe" version). As far as I remember the band had some other people try to handle the tapes but there were some technical difficulties that only Phil Dirt managed to cope with.
An then there are of course all these live albums by bands he recorded at KFJC, some of which are mentioned in this old thread:

If I am not mistaken with conversations we had with Mark a few years ago when we stayed with him on tour, Phil also mixed the last Voodoo Court album as well.

I thought somebody else did DLHT, though it was somebody Phil was working with at the time and found. This was the original DLHT, not the reissue.
