Pretty cool.
Thanks for posting that.
I like that you can get some lower gain, less fuzzy sounds out of it.
Most fuzz pedals need the fuzz turned down almost all the way to sound 60's like.

Sounds awesome!

Either you surf, or you fight.

It sounds right for fuzz-trash, and the $52 pricetag will undercut the boutique makers by 60%.
Times are ripe for this device. I also hear from the hipsters in the downtown music stores that flatwounds, which complement fuzztone, are in fashion with the hipsters forming 60s-style "garage bands".

you can turn down the gain to the point where the pedal just turns off, its definitely nice how light you can take the gain

Wow, that thing sounds tremendous, I'm quite tempted...how does it take reverb and delay? It probably doesn't even matter with that price point...

Finally got it and tested it yesterday.
It has this super authentic sound at a very nice price.
unfortunately it comes without a tone control. While I understand that a fuzz doesn't need a lot of bass, I really feel it misses low end when engaged. It sounds very harsh and cuts through the mix, but it quickly gets in the painful range. I might keep it, but I'm still undecided.

Thanks for the report back Sancho.
I'm still hoping to pick one up this week.
I'm looking for something pretty nasty for recording.

Ok...just on a tangent...someone posted a Fuzz pedal last year for sale that I cannot quite remember the name of. It had a switch on it that basically 'destroyed' the sound, turning it into a very broken fuzz...as if something was wrong with the pedal. Anyone remember the name or familiar?

I could use that!

Yeah...I just searched the F/S Forum back to mid 2012 and didn't spot the entry. I really wish I knew what it was called. I should have taken notes.

i havent opened mine up yet but i wonder how hard it would be to mod some kind of tone control into the satisfaction

i used it at church on sunday and found that at full volume the low end on it was just fine for me, at lower volumes it does come across as thin compared to more modern fuzz pedals

Ryan – what kind of church you go to where you use fuzz? I wanna visit. Do they require flatwounds there?

its technically a southern baptist church but its closer in format to a southern california style non denominational church,,, which means we have rock n roll worship music

i use a pretty aggressive tone for church but i blend it into the mix alot with volume swells and heavy delay

also our pastor was a los angeles hair metal drummer in the 80s, so we get away with alot of stuff that you wouldn't hear in even the most modern of churches, lol

I picked one of these up today on a whim. Wow, what a fun wee box, love that squelchy fuzz at high attack. I was surprised how versatile it is for a 2 knob pedal, they are very reactive to each other so you get a decent range out of it.

At that price point (I dropped 37 GBP new) I can see a few of these creeping on pedalboards. Good size too.

I'd like to see how EHX Satisfaction Fuzz performs facing off against other Maestro Fuzz clones, like the one I bought (Smitty Maelstrom) for about 2x the price. I am very satisfied with mine as my go-to pedal for trashy, lo-gain bite and have sidelined my gainier Monsterpiece Colorsound Mark II Pro clone, which is great for Yardbirds-type psychedelia, but really needs a dedicated signal chain of its own that culminates in an overdriven British amp.
The Maelstrom seems voiced for Fender-clean amps so it's my default.

Jeff, did you get one of these?

This is the first little thing that's come along in awhile (at that price point) that's made me think I might want a fuzz - actually being alive when that stuff first came out. (When it gets blizzardy outside I mix it up inside; surf + other stuff. Just thinkin' 'bout the winter ya know.)

Aw snap! Then I'd have to make one of those confessions to the group in the shallow end.... Shock
