Permalink Bass Strings Flat or Round?

New Topic

I just got flats for my bass today, so once I try them out, I'll be able to give them a review.

I played my new D'Addario Chrome Flatwounds through my backup rig just now. All I have to say is I think I may have found what was missing from my sound. These strings are great. I can't wait to play them through my main rig.

ps: just saw "how it's made" on the science channel...they were at the d'addario factory and they were showing how guitar strings are made...cool stuff!

I remember that episode being on as well. I had the general idea of how it is made down, so I didn't watch it. But yes, I do like the chrome flatwounds.

when my new 60th anni. MIM p-bass arrives, i think i'm going to try flatwounds or tapewound strings just for something a little different.
