Permalink PSA: Looking for Surf /Instrumental LEAD guitarist (Corona)

New Topic

Not my ad.From Inbred, I mean Inland Empire CL
After months of no listings for surf music (except the kind influenced by Arctic Monkeys and Diiv) things are popping up on So Cal IE CL.)

I play rhythm and I'm in my 40's. Looking for lead guitarist to start new fun project, OR established band that needs a rhythm guitarist.

I would like to be able to cover artists such as Dick Dale, The Ventures, The Surfaris etc....Pretty much the old school style, but changing it up a bit for improvement is fine. Please be able to "double pick" with heavy reverb like Dick Dale, and also switch it up to that clean Nokie Edwards sound.

I can also lead sing if we decide to break it up with a vocal song now and then. Something that would fit the style. I would like to practice 1x a week to reach a goal of a gig or two a month. I do not have a rehearsal place lined up at this time.

No beginners please. Please have spring (not digital) reverb for those wet songs. Oh ya, beer OK Smile

BTW, If you are a bassist, drummer, keyboardist or sax player and truly like 60's instrumentals, please let me know and I will hang on to your info. Gotta find that lead first.....

Thanks!
