I'm not a strat player, but I was really impressed with what this guys is doing. Check it out...

Very nice. He mentions Carl Verheyen at the 5:45 minute mark, and that's exactly who I was thinking of as he was doing all that stuff. I've read many great columns in the Guitar Player magazine by Carl on exactly this topic.

Danny, did you ever see Jeff Beck perform this song? He's really the master when it comes to the Strat tremolo.

Good stuff, guys! Beck apparently likes a little extra float on his personal '93 CS to better achieve those flat/sharp notes.

Thanks for posting that video Ivan. One of Jeff Beck's most beautiful melodies. I'd like to set my Strat up like that.

Either you surf, or you fight.

That's really enlightening; I've always meticulously evened out my claws when adjusting the tension, because I believed the opposite was true (i.e., that not doing so would actually cause tuning problems). Next string change I'm going to try tightening the treble side.
