I think this Quiets CD won "CD of the year 2013" from Pipeline magazine.
Several melodies were played on a bass, probably a Bass VI.

You can stream this CD on Spotify.com
(also Whimsical Surf Version Two by The Insanitizers, just search Insanitizers).

Tracked down two LPs that have been on the wants list for years:

image

Like the other two, the best material made it to Sundazed's best-of, but the other songs are definitely cool.

image

Still getting to know the material but it's definitely an interesting listen and pretty out there in places for '59. Great stuff!

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

The Mystery Men "Sonos Delirium",
The Apollo Four "Blast Off EP",
The Razorblades "Snapshots from the Underground",
Surfer Joe "Senor Surf",
Thom Starr & the Galaxies "South Bay Surf: Anhtology 1963-1964",
The Volcanics "The Lonely One",
Rare Surf Vol 2: The South Bay Bands", and
"Rare Surf Vol 3: Johnny Fortune, and Johnny Barakat & the Vestells.

(Double Crown Black Friday Haul).

Bob

Great haul!

Board Boogie Compilation
The Breakaways - Time Surfin'
The Falcons - Queen of Diamonds
The Surfin' Gorillas - Surfing Hootenanny

plus the Three-Way CD from Deep Eddy came in the mail

plus I treated myself to Bikini Machine's new album

and then my lady got me Surf Age Nuggets. LOVE the book in there! She gets extra points for getting that without the aid of my amazon wishlist

Great find there, would love to have it.
Guess I'll have to be happy with my cd re-issue with bonus tracks.

My 3 latest additions are

Flippin the Bird with The Treblemakers - Found a copy on the bay for $10!!! Score!!

Los Coronas - Adios Sancho - Had to pay premium for this (jus under $30!!). Got a Polish import of it. Worth it though. Way worth it!

And the new Les Agamemnonz 10inch - Got it direct from Green Cookie. Comes with a digital audio download. Hell of an EP. SO TRAD!!! I had the pleasure of seeing them live at last year's Surfer Joe and they're awesome. I think they still have the limited edition vinyl still available. Jump on this, folks. And pick up the Dirty Fuse Surfbetica ep along with it. You wont be disapointed!

It's been a while since I posted here.

Skyscraper - The Man From Ravcon
Everything Is Golden - The Man From Ravcon
Nokie Plays Latin - Nokie Edwards
Whimsical Surf Ver. 2 - Insanitizers
Wild Surf Guitars - Insanitizers
The Lonely One - The Volcanics
The Girl Who Couldn't Hula - Da Surfones
Makin' The Scene - The Fabulous Plank-Tones
Black Sweater Massacre - The Reigning Monarchs
Snapshots From The Underground - The Razorblades
Adios Sancho - Los Coronas
The Mariners - Wrong Planet!
The Tsultry Sounds of Go!Tsunami - Go!Tsunami

I'll be reviewing more records on this list during the next several weeks.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

I bought this one (in Brand New condition) two days ago on US eBay for $19.21 including shipping - keep an eye out on eBay, American surf fans.
