Yes, it's great to hear our personal faves coming up on the playlist, as well as stuff that we would have voted for if we'd had more than 10 options. Ali Baba didn't quite get onto my list, but other SG101ers with their flawless good taste took care of it. But what's even better about hearing this show (second time now) is hearing unfamiliar stuff that would never have been included in a personal list of favorites. For example, 'Ghost Wave' by The Vistas was a revelation. |

This is nearly impossible to list just 10, and some may not be considered as really surf but... Shawn 1) Dave Myers & the Surftones- Moment of Truth Shawn Martin |

Everyone involved in the surf classic & revival 101 most-favorite songs deserves praise and gratitude. The shows are epic and all the songs are terrific. Not all my personal favorites made the combined top 202, but some of them did. Some bands' songs I was sure would make it didn't. I know I'm not alone in this. But every song that got any votes at all as someone's favorite is a great song. Surf music fans are very discerning and have great taste! I'm curious about all the songs which received votes. Since voters were global, I'm sure there are many I've never heard, and I'd like to know more about them. Maybe there can be a show devoted to the songs that almost made the combined top 202? My thanks to everyone at North Sea Surf Radio, and all the artists and voters who contributed to making the best radio broadcast of music I've ever heard. I know this is a repeated post, but I think it bears repeating. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

Niels Fantastic job! A few unexpected songs/artiest and of couse some of us probably are disappointed that our favorites faild to get enough votes to make it to the list. From someone that has spent a fair amount of time with excel worksheets this is an amazing task. I hope you used excel, If so, is it possible to put this in other order such by Artist A to Z and by Songs A to Z? —Happy Sunsets! |
