Something I swore I'd never do! But wait, there's a catch. It is a 1969 Harmony made Fender F-1030. It's a real gem, I'm a long time fan of Harmony acoustics. They have some really crummy cheap ones, but they made some real winners in their line. The F-1030 is the same body and neck as the Harmony H165, which counts Scotty Moore amongst the famous users. I also believe it to be the same body/neck as the Buck Owens American, a wonderful sounding instrument.
It sounds great either strummed or finger picked, something that is not true of quite a few acoustic guitars. This is replacing my '62 Martin D-28 which I sold two years ago to fund synthesizers and for it to find a better home, and that it is. It has been on tour nationally, and been used on some really well known records. And it remains in the band family, so I get to play it whenever I choose!
So, I'm a huge fan of this guitar. I've been looking for a Harmony made acoustic for a while. They are hard to find in good shape, but this one is in really good shape, I left it a the shop to get the action lowered and a new bridge saddle(it was some aftermarket thing).

Oh, and it weighs next to nothing. It feels really incredible, it is an all mahogany body, not one of the birch bodies they painted to look mahogany.

Can't see it. The link took me to a Gmail page. Is that where it is?

I've wanted a 00 or 000 for a long time. I've got a auditorium sized Taylor and love it and also a Seagull dread. Both play and sound great but are a bit big for noodling around the living room.
That Fender looks really nice. I had no idea that Harmony private labeled for them back in the day.

Cool!
A vintage Fender Acoustic with adjustable saddles has been on my GAS list for a while now.

The saddle isn't adjustable, just removable. I don't like the material that is in it right now, clearly somebody cut it after-market.

I've not had positive experiences with acoustic guitars that have metal saddles...
Yeah, I got it at the shop.

They have reissued it, although it really isn't remotely the same. It looks the same... but the construction isn't the same(laminated back and sides). The bracing is different I hear. Also, the reissue costs more than you can pick an old one up for. $500 is pricy for a vintage example. http://www.fender.com/series/artist-design/tim-armstrong-deluxe-rosewood-fingerboard-natural/

i work not to far from the old Harmony factory. My bro used to dumpster dive there. Norlin and Silvertone too. All those places were near our house.
Great instrument.
