I guess this is as good as day to post this, especially on my birthday today. Tried out a 62 AVRI Jazzmaster last year & loved it. But couldn't afford it then. I've been looking steadily for the past 3 months (reverb.com, gbase.com, zoomthelist.com) and been burned on Craigslist a bunch of times. Last time was this past Monday where seller agreed to my price and meet me on 55th and 6th at 11A here in NYC. Waited half an hour...nothing. Didn't even text or call me.
So, I'm looking for a used AVRI JM in very good to excellent condition and all colors except sunburst. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Believe it or not, my last guitar I bought was my 1983 fender strat, which is my main surf guitar for now, which I only paid $250 for it back then! You can contact me thru regular emal. hlieboff59@gmail.com

I can attest to the sincerity of Howards quest for an American Jazzmaster. He's also a nice guy. If you sell him your guitar, I know it will be going to a very good home.

Check out Rhode Island craigslist, my guitarist is selling 62 ri jm, really nice gentleman... Not sure if this is the same model youre referring to, he listed 12/13 and it's available. Sorry, i don,t know how to paste the link on my ipad yet. Any questions let me know.
