Permalink 1963 Bandmaster w/Cab!

New Topic

Very reluctantly thinning the herd: Pretty decent rough blond/wheat '63 brownface bandmaster, in great running shape. Head is all orig. and in nice condition with intact and crack-free dogbone handle. The amp was serviced several years ago, and has virtually no miles on it since. It also features a period-correct blond Bassman output transformer, which really beefs up the performance. This is a drop-in replacement, no holes drilled, and a definite upgrade from the Bandmaster OPT. Great selection of USA tubes, no Chinese junk. Speaker cab is loaded with re-issue P12N Jensen's, and has been re-tolexed, but all the hardware is original except the handle. Both cab's could stand new grillcloth. This amp is has the legendary 3-tube tremelo circuit, and will be a great addition to your backline. Take it out and play it! This is exclusively advertised to SG101 members only, priced at a very reasonable $1050. Can deliver to SoCal area. P-mail me at matt@reventlos.com. Thanks for looking!

I highly recommend this amp, I have 2 of them and nothing else really touches them IMHO. The lower wattage actually helps with the typically more overdriven (slightly) more modern surf tone. The tremolo is a thing of beauty.

I agree with Danny - not only are these great amps, this is a GREAT price. I've seen just the head sell for this price. If it doesn't sell, there is no hope for any of us.

Partial trades?

IMO.

when you say "period correct OT" do you mean a replacement OT or an actual blonde 6G6-B OT was installed and has the schumacher transformer code stamp?

When you consider that $1050 is the street price of a new Deluxe Reverb reissue, this vintage Bandmaster at the same price is a freaking BARGAIN.

I've been fortunate to play through a couple of Matt's amps on my two California surf band trips and I can tell you, the man has some killer, well maintained gear. If I lived in SoCal, I'd be on my way to the bank right now.

BUY this amp for that price especially. The Band Master is THE BEST after the Showman. It is basically a showman at lower volume. This amp is incredible. Of course check status and speakers, but for THAT money? Just get it.

I would buy it immediately if you would sell it in Europe!
I have several amps, but still not an old blonde Bandmaster...
Unfortunately they are ultrarare here in Europe!

Twang cheers!
