I just found this ad on Craigslist. This amp looks much like the less-than-sought after London Reverb, but it says Showman. I am not familiar with it. Can someone enlighten me?

It came out in the early 80's, around the time of the Twin Reverb II.
It was 200 watts and solid state.
The SS Showman line were all combos: 1x12, 1x15, 2x10, & 2x12.

Not for nothing, but if that SS Showman has a 15 in it, it might make a better Bass VI amp than the Twin Reverb 15 I'm trying to get. So if someone down there is getting a Bass VI...

The Showman and the London Reverb had the same front end, but the Showman had twice the power and the speaker complements were different.
I had one with an EV-15L throughout the 1980s. I also had a Twin, but I used the Showman more often. Both were equally heavy. The Showman had tons of volume, but could sound brittle sometimes. I sold it in '91 to a pedal steel player who said it was the best amp for steel he had ever heard.
Here's a photo from 1989:

Interesting. I don't know a lot about this era of Fender products. The original rhythm player for KBK (Circa 2005) had a London Reverb and I hated the amp. That is saying a lot, seeing as how I was playing through a Marshal Lead 100 Mosfet head at the time.
