Soo I just got my squier vm jaguar and was goofin with the different selections and found that 2 sounded the same, so I switched to both on and hit the poles with a screwdriver. Now the bridge gave feedback and I got nothing from the neck, but when I turned off the bridge the neck started to work. I really want to do the work myself because all my local shops have a huge waiting period. So what am I looking to fix. Is it just a bad connection or something bigger? Thanks!

Perhaps the others are like myself. I read your description and could not figure out exactly what you meant. I could not tell from how you described the situation to have a guess as to what the problem might be.
Unlike a simple Strat, with a pickup selector switch, a master volume and two tone pots, the Jaguar has a more complex controls wiring.
Is the rhythm circuit off or on? When its off, the lead circuit has individual switches for the pickups.
Maybe looking at this will help you.

Maybe restating the facts may give others a better idea about your problem.

Oh yeah you're right. On the lead circuit when I engage both pickups only the bridge pickup will turn on. However, when I disengage the bridge, the neck pup works. (Initial post sounded way better in my head last night)

This is a bit of a puzzle. Does everything else function properly? In the lead circuit, when you only turn on the bridge pickup, it comes on? In the rhythm circuit, the neck pickup comes on? In the lead circuit, with the bridge pickup off, the neck comes on? I was hoping for some other problem that might give me a clue.
Just in the lead circuit with both pickups turned on, only the bridge pickup is working. I hope one of the Jaguar experts will provide an answer.
This will bump the question back up.
Later,
Norm
