The search engine is 3rd party code and I am not exactly sure what it is doing there. I'll have to research it.
Your best bet for corner cases like this is to use google. Type this into a google search box:
site:surfguitar101.com hawaiian sounding chords

Thanks! That worked, and I didn't even have to use Google for it. I remember morphball saying he searched off-site this way.

Brian, when I click the PM button the text box appears without automatically filling out the To: box. I'm sure it used to do before didn't it?
Yes this is a bug. I'll put it on the to-do list.
This is fixed now. You may have to clear your browser's cache to see the change. Thanks Crumble!

Thanks!
I got a fix for the search issue and quotes. Unfortunately I have to rebuild the search index and you clowns have now posted over 265,000 posts, so it takes a while to churn through your data. I ran out of time tonight but sometime soon I'll take the site down for an hour or so to do this.
Thanks Noel for bringing the issue up.

Maintenance is complete. You can now search for "Hawaiian" (with quotes).

I'll have SG101 up on blocks and offline for a period, probably Tuesday afternoon (CST) for some maintenance. You can check the SG101 Twitter feed for status updates.
This reminds me that I need to put a surf video or YouTube playlist up on the maintenance page. Or a link to NSSR or something.

The site will be going up and down a few times today while I screw around with the search engine. Thanks.

I'm rebuilding the search index in the background, so the site might be a little sluggish. The search function will be disabled during this time also. Should hopefully take about 1.5 - 2 hours.

Hi Teiscofan. No my updates weren't related to that. I can play embedded videos fine.

Well based on our previous conversation it is probably the default browser on your tablet. It's pretty much garbage. Get Firefox or Chrome. Good luck!
