I'm gonna try to make the bonus track thing a part of every new release from now on. Of course, not every band will have a bonus track like this, but it has worked out really well. The next CD is going to be from The Buckle Busters, a local band featuring members of The Footstompin' Trio and Chris Con Carne. Soundwise it is very similar to the Footstompin' Trio, so if you liked their disc I'm sure you'll like this one. They don't have any extra songs recorded, so the bonus track might be something by The Footstompin' Trio, who are on semi-permanent hiatus at this point. —Sean Surf CD's / Vinyl / Fanzines / DVD's |

The CD's are finally here! I will get copies out to the band, Double Crown Music Club subscribers, and everyone else that pre-ordered the CD over the next 2-3 days. I hope to have them all shipped by Saturday. Thanks for your patience and I hope you all enjoy the disc! —Sean Surf CD's / Vinyl / Fanzines / DVD's |

Listening to the new cd right now - about halfway through and my initial reaction is WOW! Along with the great guitar tones, I'm really digging the electric piano which adds a nice touch that you don't often hear these days. Great songwriting as well. BOSS job, Klas and crew! This one is going to get a lot of spins! Last edited: Apr 09, 2007 17:08:31 |

I have to admit, it was the use of electric piano that made me really want to put out their CD. I am a huge fan of the Untamed Youth instros that used one, like Ghost Wave and FUJIMO, as well as all of the vintage recordings that used one. I'm glad you're diggin' the disc! —Sean Surf CD's / Vinyl / Fanzines / DVD's |

Jon yes I recieved my copy today Monday April 9th, and man the lead guitar in every song is insanely drippy now that's what I'm talking about hell yeah! the drip reminds me of Frank Blandino's drippy guitar so if your a fan of The Fathoms hell you'll dig this disc! I dig the touch on the back panel saying "Mono" excellent thanks Sean for sending the disc's out to everyone and keeping us posted most of all your for dedication to the genre and hard work & groovy label cheers Klas pagin' Klas: hey who is playing lead? are you and your brother sharing lead work from song to song? it doesn't say in the liner notes just "Klas & Jack Fjellgren guitar & guitar"?? and a reissue tank right (6-7-5) settings? Jaguar/Jazzmaster? what amp? sorry for the AtoZ questions The best vintage sounds around this cd is up there with The Thunderchiefs oh yes! It's everything and more -Kyle Beyond The Surf YouTube channel |

I got mine today too. It's a really, really good album all around. Great stuff, Klas! The look is good too; I like the part on the back where it says "a word about The Surfites". I'll be spinning this one for a while. |

Thanks guys! We are glad you like the album!
Yes, we are sharing lead as follows:
Two stock reissue tanks set to something like 7-7-6 or 8-8-7 for lead. A notch or two down for rhythm on most songs. We are both playing stock Japanese Jaguars except for 3 songs where I play a stock Japanese Jazzmaster. All guitars equipped with heavy flatwounds. Initially we used a Fender Quad Reverb (the amp I used in the Daytonas) but soon discovered that we got better recording results by simply using tube pre-amps between the tanks and the recorder instead.

All of the pre-ordered CD's went out Friday and Saturday - air mail usually takes about a week, so you should get it soon. —Sean Surf CD's / Vinyl / Fanzines / DVD's |

Well, I could be wrong, but judging from what I learned about Klas on SG101 and by virtue of that fact it is in mono, my guess is that they used tape. I know how you feel, I love recording too. —http://www.satanspilgrims.com |
