I suppose cheap is subjective. Honestly, I'm sure they're fine as is, or perhaps a string change is in order. I just feel like good basses are harder to find cheap, but these look sweet. I was going to test them out this weekend, but Austin Vintage is already sold out. —IMO. |

Mine has reached Pennsylvania and is expected in my store tomorrow! My plan is a setup and just play it as-is until I decide what strings to put on. Early reports from people who already have them are very good. I'm sure it will do everything I want it to. My Pawn Shop bass VI has replaced my bass, got flat's from La Bellas (0.25-0.95) wich I highly recomend. |

Best price I've found ($48.85) for La Bella Bass VI Flats are at Elderly Instruments by about $15 or more dollars. Thanks for the tip, Mike. Saw mine a few minutes ago. Really needs a setup badly and I'm, not allowed to take it home until Paul's really happy with how it plays. Intonation and some buzzing issues right now. He's unfamiliar with these, so he's open to suggestion if anyone has some. It looks really gorgeous. The Sunburst is vibrant, like a western sunset, and the wood shows a lot of character through it, which serves to strengthen the illusion. I can't wait to hear it through my Quilter and Music Man. As for price point, well, it would have taken me over twice as long to do anything about the Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI, and there's no way I can justify the MIJ, let alone a vintage American one. So, this is the only one for me.
