So I have a Squier Bass VI on the way and I'm wondering about a case. I have heard that guitar cases are too short and bass cases are too long. Anyone have one that is a good fit?

martianspy, I have some NOS Jerry Jones baritone cases that may fit. Measure it up when you get it and let me know if you're interested. —http://www.facebook.com/CrazyAcesMusic |

It will be too wide for most Jazz or Precision cases, due to the offset body. I managed to find a bass case that was slightly wider for mine. You might consider the shorter scale length to be an issue, but it doesn't bother me. —Last edited: Aug 31, 2013 09:52:23 |

when i bought my MIJ VI, the case was super expensive. Gig bag!! and it's been fine for 20 years. |

I found that Gator GWE-Bass cases work pretty well. |

I keep my Bass VI in a generic gig bag made for a bass. —If it ain't broke, fix it until it is. |

My Tour Grade Travel Armor Bass fitted soft case that I bought for my J-Bass fits my Bass VI like a glove. Snug and secure. There's a little extra length at the top, but the body and neck are very secure and the instrument can't move inside. Lots of storage too. This is a very good price. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. Last edited: Sep 12, 2013 18:02:28 |

I was asked about how well my Tour Grade Armor Bass Fitted Soft Case fits my Bass VI. There's a little extra room above the headstock, but the body and neck are very secure and the instrument does not more around at all. This is how they fit together.
