Id like to share my bands first original surf/rautalanka track.
Everything is recorded straight to teac 144 4-track cassette recorder and later mixed and edited in pro tools. We wanted to capture raw old school sound so we didn't even try to polish it too much. At the time we dont have a drummer so drumtrack is made of few loops I recorded and put together in PT. Hope you like it.

I like it. And I'd say you were successful achieving the sound and feel you wanted. Have you any more?

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Right, so I can recover from that posting fiasco?

a) The Pink Fairies version of Walk Don't Run was a humorous addition to a Led Zeppelin WDR Thread. It was maximally awkward here. The comment applies to the Pink Fairies' take on WDR, which is somewhere between interesting and silly.

b) As far as The Spital's Sultan, which I have now listened to several times, it's pretty decent. It definitely captures the rautalanka feel, and I'm not surprised to see that the Spitals are from Finland. The main riff fits the title. Needs real drums.

We haven't recorded any other songs yet but we'll be recording one other original track soon.
We started playing together last may so the band is quite new.

The drums on Sultan are real drums recorded using 4-track recorder with just one ribbon mic but since we haven't found drummer yet and non of us can play drums we just decided to loop some parts I played.

Thanks for your kind responses.
