Only about a third of our live set is covers but we always enjoy playing this one.
Hope you dig it.

Love this tune. it's so different than a lot of Link Wray songs, but still rocks. We often pull this out live. It a surf fire way to get the "swing" dancers on the floor.

Great performance. it reminds me of Teisco Del Rey's cover.

Great version!
We've recorded that song a couple of times, but it never turned out quite right so we shelved it. You guys really nailed the right feel.

That was great, Jeff. You guys look like you enjoy what you're doing. I hope it is as good as it looks. Smile

Thanks so much for taking a look and listen and for the compliments.

wfoguy, we love playing our music (and some of these classics) and do our best to have solid, tight, professional performances but ultimately we're doing it for fun and I am so glad that you and some other folks pick up on that.

Really nice! The Eliminators also do a cover of this song on their last album which has a nice groove also.

Like Rev said, this is a really atypical Link Wray song.

Very cool,
Never heard anybody other than the Eliminators
Cover it like Brian said.
So many great old songs.
I love when bands dig deep to find obscure
Covers to play, instead of the same old standards.
And ugh.. Ventures songs.

Thanks Jeff.
A music professor friend of ours once was chiding us at a live show to play some Ventures and more recognizable material. So we played "Wild Action"
Later he asked us again if we were going to play any Ventures.....LOL.
I like B sides and things that people haven't necessarily heard but that are familiar sounding enough for them to enjoy.
Truth is, our guys wouldn't know "Diamond Head" or "Squad Car" if it bit em in the ass, Ha!

Funny story, and 2 good songs for sure.
But I think it's good to not play them,
Or play them too much.
