Permalink Chrome bridge cover for Jaguar / Jazzmaster question

New Topic

I just received a genuine Fender chrome cover for the Fender Jaguar / Jazzmaster. I'm guessing it's s'pose to snap on over the bridge but the snapping action ain't happening - at least not very easily - on either my '62 RI JM or my vintage '63 Jag. Does it require man-handling or need tweaking? Confused - Marty

It isn't a snap, it just kind of grips the bridge. If you can hold it upside down without it falling off or moving about, it is working!

Good to see you on here again!

My AVRI cover just sort of "grips" the bridge also. It definitely doesn't snap on. I think you are only supposed to put it on your guitar when you take pictures of it, then after that you put it in your case. Big Grin

My '66 Jazzmaster had the original bridge and some tags, sold for WAY above market value. Keep those bridge covers safe!

do these fit on the squier vm jags?

I do not believe so, but that is not a definitive answer. I think the sizes are different...

Thanks mucho, Jake and Brian!!

Horax.. i think they need a bit of a crimp and a nudge, but yes..

Marty, I vaguely recall that I had to gently bend it to get it to hold.
