So, today I had to go to Grand Rapids, MI for a few hours with my wife. As we were getting some lunch, she handed me GR's free local entertainment magazine Revue, as it was their "Music Issue". I noticed a Guyatone guitar on the cover, which was a bit surprising, but didn't pay very close attention. Opened it up, and on page 9, "What's Inside", suddenly realized that there's a big photo of Tommy Schichtel AKA Dick Chiclet of the Concussions and the Fuzzrites! Then I realized that that's also him ON THE COVER! There's a really nice story about him inside, about all his musical pursuits (THREE bands, including one with Pete Curry!) and, most importantly, his amazing all-analog studio! I couldn't believe it. Besides playing a show with the Fuzzrites in April (an in and out kind of a thing, not much time spent there), I haven't been to Grand Rapids in about a year, and today I was there for just a few hours and completely by a fluke my wife hands me this magazine, only to find a friend of mine featured. Crazy! Anyway, here's the link to the magazine (where you can read the entire thing, including the feature on Tommy): http://revuewm.com/revue/online-magazine

Congratulations on the great publicity, Tommy!

3 bands plus a solo single under the Dick Chiclet name. Coincidentally, all 4 projects lead off this week's RFB.

Such a great read - even though the Concussions and Dick Chiclet have worked with Double Crown for a few years, I learned a lot in that piece.

Hey thanks Ivan and everyone! It was a surprise to me too. Just thought it was an interview. They liked the studio and stories enough to make it a cover. Been really busy as of late, not only with my bands but some really great other projects. Looking forward to December for a real special project. More later.

Congratulations! Has to feel really terrific. I'm extremely curious about what's happening in December.
