Great bass. Got the sunburst. The JM bridge pick up and 5 way switching is nice. Lots of different tones. Restrung it with LaBella flats. Neck is as flat as a board and action is really low with no buzz. Plays like a dream. Now off to recording some spy, spaghetti stuff!

Congratulations. To your ears, do you think this sounds more like a bass or more like a guitar?

Thanks. I guess I'm really asking if it sounds like this. Solo starts at 1:46.

That's great. Loved that sound since the first time I heard it. No way my B2B Strat can do that.

F*&% yeah! And how much did that Bass VI set you back? I just wish more music fans developed ears like ours and we wouldn't have to hear the crap on the radio and everywhere, just bitchin' vintage sounds.
And still no pics? How can we trust you?

Sweet. Nice move putting the LaBella's on it. Let us know how it works in with your band/recordings.

Yes Craig. The LaBella flats make a world of difference vs the rounds that came on it. Craftsmanship on the guitar is flawless. Didn't know how I'd like the 5 way switching and the jazzy PUP on the bridge but I think it gives this bass a lot of tonal versatility. In the "quack" position it really cuts through a mix.

Decisions, decisions. The new Squire Bass VI or the Pawn Shop Bass VI? Life is good. Money is tight. Oh well.

Am I wrong to assume that the new Squire can be more easily modified with original Fender hardware and PU's, to mockup a somewhat genuine looking and sounding VI?
I think the answer (for me) is right there.
Johhny congrats! You gonna have to tempts us with some pics!
Do you like the bridge PU sound?

if I played bass, that would be the one! got to mess with one of the original 60's models (in the 60's) and I really liked it!! most folks used them for tic-tac bass but jack bruce in the early days of cream used one--can be one hell of a solo instrument!! when do I get one???

If this keeps up, I wonder if Fender will introduce an AV Bass VI?
