Did they already play?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

They just started. I think they must have radically changed their sound recently, though - it doesn't sound anything like what I expected!

Damn!
I can't connect now

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I am trying to reconnect the camera. consider it is a cheap thing i have now... i am just taking the chance to test this thing Smile

i don't know if someone has managed to connect to the camera. I do not have a streaming server so it all depends on our dsl connection...

I connected earlier when it was just a view of the stage.
Now, the site won't load.

Yeah we were struggling with the amps which weren't ours. Way too bright and thin sounding also midrange frequencys were missing. Old tubes I guess? I'd prefer a much warmer sound with some sustain.
Also drum kit sounded 'dead' old skins?

Martin, that's not what I meant - I should have been clearer, sorry. The netcast was horribly distorted, to the point where it was impossible to tell anything, even that it was music of any kind that was played. I tried to tune in, but it was for naught....

Sorry to hear about the amps, but hope you still had a good gig!

Yes gig went well. I've had quite a few messages saying the same as you about the Internet feed and sound. I think it may have been there first attempt at this so there are stil working out.

Smile just one camera and an internet connection... with the idea that came 2 hours before the show. you really need a streaming server to do this properly and a large large bandwidth. the plan is to organize in order to stream the whole festival next year.

Equipment and live streaming issues aside, I cannot express how amazing it was to sit within 5 feet of the stage in front of one of the world's most influential first wave bands and bask in the glory! I heard several of those in attendance exclaim "it feels like we're guests at an exclusive private party!" Indeed it did! Simply amazing! Every morning I wake up and say "I had the most incredible dream...I was at the Surfer Joe Festival!" Somebody pinch me!
