Loyd Davis and I are working to resurrect our band, Longboard Ranch, making it better and stronger than before, with a wider range of material, so we can play both the surf music we're so good at, and the rockabilly vocals we all love so much. There are three of us so far. Our Bassist is Sergio Vigilato, who went by "Canjoto" in Brazil's leading surf band, "The Jet Blacks" from 1962-1968.
Most of those on this forum have heard of Loyd Davis abd the classic Surf Revival band he co-founded with Bob Dalley, "The Surf Raiders". Loyd and I have collaborated as songwriters and guitarists for 13 years.
We know a lot of songs, and we know our chops. We want to get as many gigs as possible. Sergio can help, with contacts in venues all over Southern California, and we have a leads already. We do weekend daytime rehearsals in Burbank, within a block of the Victory Blvd. & Burbank Blvd. intersection.
We want someone who knows essential Surf and Instro songs, such as:
Walk Don't Run; Rebel Rouser; Rumble; Pipeline; Wipe Out; Our Favorite Martian; Baja; The Hearse; Journey To The Stars; Hawaii Five-0; Bustin' Surfboards; The Savage; Mr. Moto; Apache; Spanish Blue; Sleepwalk; Driving Guitars; Wild Weekend; High Tide/Tranquilizer
Plus have the desire to play drums on songs like:
Peggy Sue; Party Doll; Runaway; Blue Suede Shoes; All Shook Up; etc
and about 25 more in a similar vein.
To get an idea of our musical sensibilities and skill, you can listen to
15 of our originals here:

Our old booking agent told us that with this kind of mix, about 60% Instro, and 40% vocal oldies, we would be very busy, so anyone who loves the above music, and would like to work with a group of laid-back, (but professional) musicians who have ZERO ego issues, AND make some extra spending money this Summer, please respond DIRECTLY to:
Loyd: tsunami.blue@hotmail.com and phone: 661-607-4883
Bruce: wetreverb@yahoo.com and phone: 818-849-5798
Responses sent through the SG101 messaging system won't get through, as I'm having real issues with the system, and cannot read messages here.
We would love to get togetgher with interested parties this weekend. Thanks!
