Hello all, I've been playing music with my 2 kids for the last 6 months (crazy right?), and after finally acquiring my own long desired Jaguar, we decided we would write and record an original surf rock song. It's called Shark Bait (my son named it) and features a riff written by my daughter on bass. Think I achieved a cool gritty surf vibe with my jag and rig, hope you agree.
Feel free to share feedback or ask any questions about the recording process. I'm a bit of a home recording enthusiast (geek). Thanks for watching.

Yeah man! We were inspired by the sax solo on The Lively Ones' Surf Rider. My daughter plays clarinet, but only has just the two hands so... let's rock the kazoo!

One of the coolest things in a long time. I hope to one day get to share playing music with my three girls.

Fabulous! I didn't read the posts so the kazoo solo really caught me off guard; fun stuff. This is probably as cool an introduction as any I've seen here. Love it! Welcome to SG101.

Hello,
Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. Glad to have you with us. We have a great bunch of guys and gals here.
That is absolutely great. Playing with your kids. Just fantastic. That must be a really great feeling.
If that was your first attempt at surf, you did a heck of a good job.
Talk to you later,
Norm

That was great...it was just missing something. It could have used a little more cowbell! (love the poster behind the drums)
Great stuff! That's awesome to make music with your kids! Fun thing to share!

Very cool ! The bass riff makes all the difference, Jag sounds great. First surf tune I've heard with a Kazoo solo! Awesome! .

You'll have to forgive Preston. He's very ... ... young, and enthusiastic. But we love him. And he is very talented. And young. Very young.

Congrats there newbie. Welcome to 101!
Growing one's own surf band doesn't always work. Both my (grown) kids can play guitar pretty well, but don't. I think they fell prey to the evil on line adventure game trap. Then it was motocross. Boy is that a tough one to top. Hummmm. Jazzmaster vs KX-250? Come to think about it, MX ain't all that bad.
Ah well, more cool guitars lying around that I can assault and muddy bikes I get to wash and service, strings and tubes to change...and so forth and so on.
