This is my first post. Thought I'd share an original I recorded last night using Audacity and my Squier Jazzmaster through a Zoom g3x effects unit. Please excuse the errors...I'm new to recording and had some problems with latency on some tracks. Hope to make a better version soon, maybe with some Mexican style trumpets on the bridge part for that real 60's surf vibe!

I like it. I know what you mean about the trumpets. I could almost hear them. Great introduction. Welcome to SG101.

Thanks for the comments guys. As a 61 year young guy I grew up on the music of the Ventures, The Sufaris, Duane Eddy and all those guys. My first band in 1966 had a set list that included at least 15 popular instrumentals of the day from Wipeout to Apache, from Sleepwalk to Walk Don't Run, Pipeline, Penetration and a bunch more of the classics. I still love that music to this day.
These days I listen to bands like the Bambi Molesters and it just puts a smile on this old geezer's face...hey maybe I should start a surf band with a few other over the hillers like yours truly...we can all it the Geezers...gotta get those old Ventures albums out and start practicing lol

Hey! I resemble that remark. Considering that Don and Nokie have about twenty years on us and they're still touring, you might want to name the band, The Young Geezers.
