I'm working on a surf band concept, taken loosely from the Mermen, but adding all kinds of other influences... jazz, punk, Black Sabbath... whatever comes into my head at 4:00am.
I've been most recently the main cat herder in a 6 pc funky jazz outfit, but I'm now working with a drummer and bass to establish some original jammy surf music.
Heading up to Paul the Pyronaut's Sierra Surf Music camp later this week, so maybe we'll even meet!
I'd like to find another guitar or keyboardist who also composes, as well as bassists and drummers. Nothing here is set in stone, it's all as fluid as the sea. Hit me up! I'm really looking for collaborators, people who can build a great team who will get excited about playing together.

We got a band together, but now we need a new Bass player. He found he just didn't have the time for it.
We've gone with a fairly traditional list of first wave surf numbers, adding in some modern stuff and some originals.
Anyway, if you can play in the SF Bay East (Oakland hills), I'd love to hear from you!
