Thanks so much for the kind words, Noah. I had fun doing it!! I've been slowly digesting the album, and it is really infecting my brain. I think it captures your energy quite well! Your songs are really well thought out with very interesting riffs and melodies. I also really love all of the mood changes and shifts in dynamics... really makes it all feel alive! My only complaint: this CD is mastered really REALLY quiet... I had to do a big volume boost on the files in iTunes. Given that I listen to music almost 100% digitally, this corrected it for me. Big kudos to you guys. It's a great album! Looking forward to where this trajectory is going to send this band next! —

I haven't noticed such things, beyond track 2 having obviously come from a separate recording session. I could have gone for a louder mastering job though. You are probably right. Track 2 has a different sound to it then track 3. Maybe what I was hearing as volume change was just a fuller overall tone. —To Boldly go where no Tiki has gone before... |

Yes, we completely upgraded equipment between the recording session of track 2 and the rest of the album. With that track I was still using a Peavey Blues Classic amp with a Fender FRV-1 pedal. Our drummer had a smaller kit at the time, and our Bass player didn't have his amp of choice. But, with this said, our next album is not going to be recorded in one set of sessions like 'Corridor X' was. The pressure and time constraints were just too much. Our intention is to record the album as we can. This will, of course, require a fantastic mastering job in the end in order to build a cohesive album. I certainly hope we build some momentum as well. The outline for the next album is in the works. And if it happens as we want it, it will be a pretty ambitious project. Until then, I am really hoping we can put together a long talked about early 80's Hardcore Covers Ep and a proposed split EP with some artists outside of the US. —THE KBK ...
