Just got back from a long trip (Japan, returning by boat via Alaska) and am back to thinking about the Surf Battle. It is outrageously fun and a real reunion for the Bay Area surf music gang. If you listen to my KFJC show on FM, you are close enough - you must attend! It's easy to get to Pacifica - although I probably would avoid CA 92 on a warm Saturday, but there are other ways to get there from Interstate 280. Also wondering if any of our KFJC friends from around the state and further might be in the mood for a road trip?? See you there! Coz |

This was tremendous two years ago! My flight is scheduled. Still looking for surf, instrumental or garage stuff - whatever - that evening, since once there I can't actually leave until later on Sunday. Things on the 17th would also be of interest, since I plan to come out two days early on the 16th to see the Aqua Velvets at Forbidden Island. |

Brian - all you have to do is click on the LIVE CAM button by the event on kfjc.org - this uses VLC. HOWEVER - we are experimenting with an HD stream that might be up on Saturday. I will let you know how to access it if it is ready for prime time. Mary Brian wrote:

Brian, What do I have to do to watch this? I don't know what IRC is? Do all I have to do is go to the KFJC web page and click the live cam button under the Saturday Mehem 18 listing? Thanks, |

Norm, IRC is a chat server. The idea is people can view the stream individually but then chat about what they are seeing and hearing with other SG101'ers in real time. An easy way to get going with IRC is to use the Chatzilla plugin on the Firefox browser.
