Permalink Does Bullwinkle part 1 actually exist?

I have gone through life thinking there was no part 1, they named the tune "Bullwinkle part 2" as sort of a gag. I don't know much about the band and I wasn't even born yet at the time. Happy to be wrong though, the alleged "part 1" is pretty darn tasty, and I'd never heard it before today.

Interesting. I was of the same mindset, figured the part 2 bit was just added for fun. Hopefully some of the other members can chime in with more info on this.

-Damon.

Part 1 sounds like an earlier recording of what became Part 2. Great song none-the-less.

The name of the song was adjusted, as I understand it, because the rights to the original recording had been assigned to someone else. "Part II," could still be performed, however. There is a Bullwinkle Part III on MySpace, posted by a later version of the Centurions.

If your band or performance has a number associated with it somehow then I assume you can play the game too. I have a Bullwinkle Part V posted on YouTube for a band made up of members of Denver's Bloody Fives.

This was just posted on the Utube site...

We recorded this several times... Dennis remastered some... Yep... This was on our first album... SURF WAR... must have recoreded it in 1962... long time ago... I'm now 68 and still playing... ANd I Never got a dime from PUlp Fiction...

I think that Mr Lear may have the answers.
