This HAS to be the next iteration of the Chinese reissues.
I bought a white Chinese Wilshire (2nd style w/ asymetrical body and the Batwing headstock) through Music 123 for $249. It deviated from the original in that it had full sized humbuckers and a long heal on the neck joint (like a PRS). Unfortunately, it arrived with a cracked neck so I got a refund. Build quality was not that great.
The next Wilshire reissue is the expensive Gibson Custom shop limited edition of the earlier style '61, '62 w/ the symetrical body, 3+3 headstock, and the P90s. That one they got right, but you'll have to pay $$$ for that much accuracy.
This one must be a more accurate rendering of the 2nd style Wilshire w/ the correct mini humbuckers, although the pics don't show the neck joint. Probably made in China, but at least it looks like they're getting closer.

I recently acquired a 2012 Epiphone Wilshire with TremoTone Vibrato.

Ok Guitar - Mini Humbuckers come close, but really needs Coil taps or a "parallel coil" mode for a better surf Tone.
But my biggest gripe:
I find fault with the current "new design" of the Epiphone Tremotone Vibrato tailpiece where each string has its own unique sized radius round roller. Unfortunately the large Tremotone Vibrato Roller for the High E renders a very shallow string break angle at the bridge.
The overall result of this design means the High E string falls right off the Bridge saddle after one strum - its an unplayable guitar thanks to the "new design" of the Epiphone Tremotone Vibrato . Great guitar other than this one seriously critical flaw.

I got the '62 Sheraton in Cherry, frequensator tailpiece, but I already bought and removed the black paint from a new gold bigsby that will go on it. I also am putting Gold Reflectors on it, to steal the vibe from a '58 ES-355 that I covet(prototype... and $50k...).

Elantric, you could always swap out the minis for firebird style pickups, easy fit, would be brighter, less mids, tighter, cleaner bass
