The Penetrators Live in Waif Studios on 4-26-1997
The Penetrators playing in the WAIF Radio studios in Cincinnati Ohio on April 26th 1997. The Penetrators came all the way from Tuscaloosa Alabama to Cincinnati Ohio to play on the Rockin' & Surfin' Show on WAIF radio and to play at a famous venue in Northern Kentucky. Unfortunately the venue was shut down the night before the Penetrators arrived because of a liquor violation. They played in the WAIF studio and then went to Rockin' Robert's house and played in his basement!
I sure wish i had been there!

The Penetrators are:
Rip Thrillby -Lead Guitar

Spanky Twangler - Rhythm Guitar

Trace luger - Bass Guitar - http://www.penetrators.com/luger.html
Sticks Stechkin - Drums - http://www.penetrators.com/stechkin.html
Unfortunately the band lost two of these members that were brothers and the band has not played since. Rip Thrillby was involved in an auto accident and passed away in May of 2003. In 2009 Spanky Twangler passed away after a long battle with cancer. What a great loss! While I never saw Rip play in person I did see Spanky play several times. What a great guy and fantastic band!

FANTASTIC! I actually remember when they did this show, we already knew each other fairly well by then, and had played together a few times. Such good times.... They sound great, too - and check out Sticks' awesome playing in particular! It's really nice to see and hear everything he's doing so clearly. What a great band! Can't wait to pay tribute to them along with Eddie Katcher as well as Trace and Sticks at the Instro Summit!

I started this Youtube site for all of the tapes i got that Rockin' Robert taped. I will be adding more soon.
Glad you are enjoying them! I figured that the folks from this site would be most likely to enjoy them. I wish i had spent more time watching these tapes i Robert's basement. ;-(
Thanks

"The Penetrators Meet The Space Cossacks" was a 7" that I've only seen one copy of, and that was in Sticks' basement. I don't know how many there were.

Pounced! Let's hope all goes well with it. I'll let that be a lesson: eBay isn't the only place in the world to buy stuff.
I realized I've never heard The Penetrator's version of "The Truant."

Man, that is just too cool! That was an incredible tour. Meet a lot of wonderful people! 7 gigs in 7 days if I remember correctly. Nashville-Cincinnati-Pittsburgh-Hoboken-Philadelphia-Chapel Hill-Atlanta!

Ivan! Thanks it was driving me crazy, I knew it was in my collection of music, but just could not place it. That is so funny all I have to do is remove the number!
Thanks!

I want to put together a YouTube playlist of these videos. Guy, do you know the original order? No biggie if you don't, just being obsessively nerdish.
