Here's is clip from last Friday night - The Aquasonics are attempting a new vocal song - "Rockaway Beach" about halfway through this 36 second clip - my amp decided to call it a day - it's the one in the center. Watch closely..... It's pretty funny - at least to me!

Some bands should not do vocals.

the tank crash was cool.

i'll admit as a viewer that was funny. As an amp owner Shocked .

That was a cool tank crash but Im not sure thats how its done. Loved the song. Lots of attitude.

The vocals are all-right.
I think there is something in the air. I had a amp crap out on me during our last gig.

So, was the tank crash a spring breaking in the pan? That has happened to me before and any time I would play an A note on the low E, my amp would make this horrible vibration noise.

Ow...I saw a flash....how is the amp?

Nice job on the vocals, btw.

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

The amp is fine - The stand I was using broke. One of the legs slipped down from vibration, and the amp slid off. when the leg slipped, the weight of the amp caused the tank crash sound. thats when i looked back, and watched in horror as the amp slid off and smashed into the other amp right next to it. I didn't know what to do, so I kept going with the song. I couldn't hear the amp, and I thought it was seriously hurt...

After the song, I re-arranged the amp, and ditched the stand. My amp got a war wound on the top of it, and it broke the amp stand next to it.

Those old Fender Amps are tough!

Playing through is the always the best thing to do in my opinion.
I can't stand when a band stops mid way through a song becuase someone is off.

I'm glad your amp didn't break.

Nice Ramones cover. Do you do others?

I'm glad it didn't break either - I really like it.

thats the first one - We just started to do a few vocals, just to break up the instros. I'd be willing to do a few more. its weird, everyone in the band has a different opinion about what vocals to do in previously all instro surf band. the crowd really seems to like the vocal tunes.

Next up - "Fever" Very Happy Very Happy Laughing
Just kidding..

I think a surf version of Sheena is a Punk Rocker would be cool.

I was surprised that one wasn't on the Ramonetures CD.

-Warren

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

I was looking for that album a while back. Never could find it anywhere. Is it good? The only track I've heard is Pet Sematary.

I think it's awesome. Outside of "Pet Cemetary" it's mostly the poppier, non-evil side of their catalog, but if you like the Ramones & Davie Allan then you should definitely dig it. You might want to get in touch with Jeff Martin, who runs Blood Red Vinyl & Discs. It came out on that label, and I got my copy through him a couple of years ago.

It's still listed on their releases page: http://www.bloodred.com/releases.html

It's been done -- the Phantom Surfers do a killer cover of it with Davie Allan on their album "Skaterhater".

The whole album is worth a spin, IMHO.

"Surfer Joe" would work at the HB show Laughing

Thanks for the info, Warren and Bill.

several years ago, our lead guitar player stopped playing mid song and left because someone he didn't like showed up in the room Embarassed
