What effects pedals would you like to see?

Set slow it does Pink Floyd but sped up it does a great Leslie. Also has a button for a tremolo effect with the uni-vibe. Top

The Strymon is cool but not quite voiced right in the verb department. We have plans to do a coffee shop/art gallery, quieter version of the band and something like this would be great with one of my small Supros. CrispyGoodness Joined: Apr 06, 2009 Posts: 565 North Cackalacky	Posted on Feb 10 2013 05:01 PM I always thought a tremolo pedal that let you control two different tremolos in stereo would be a groovy thing; if you've ever heard the effect of trem coming out of one amp at one speed, and a trem coming out of a second amp at double or half the speed of the other, you know what a neat effect it can be. If the pedal also let you adjust the type of tremolo (brownface, blackface, bias, or magnatone style vibrato) as well as the overdrive/grit in addition to the usual speed/depth/shape/volume controls most trem pedals have, you could have all sorts of fun. Lovetone made a pedal called the Wobulator that tried to do something like this, but it didn't quite work, mostly due to the fact that there were no LED indicators telling you which trems were on and what speed they were going. I actually tried to work up a pedal like this with my buddy Glenn Wyllie, which we planned to call the Trem2, but it didn't get very far--too complicated/expensive for his liking, and he's more of a fuzz/overdrive kinda' guy anyhow. One neat brainwave he had during the process: Create a tremolo that also has a delay built into it, to create either ping-pong stereo effects or weird "rockabilly" tremolos. _ That's_ an idea I'd like to see explored further. --Crispy Top

They control four different simulated mics placed in different locations around the cab - N, E, S, W, so you could have odd variations in tremolo. — IMO. Top

What I'm daydreaming about is a dedicated (pitch) Vibrato + Tremolo pedal, with 60's voicing of course (like, Magnatone Vib and Brownface trem), preferably analog signal path (chip only for controls, not DSP), dependable(interlocked)/free controls for both fx, ratios 2,3,*4 etc., A special control that has a cutoff EQ for the fx, meaning the trem could only affects the lows and the vib only affects the highs or vice versa (each can be 0%->100% mixed in) with variable cutoff freq and curve. FX can be chained parallel or linear with inside switch. Input for foot controller(s) to control any of the above parameters. Can have Stereo output. Dare I say USB connection, to program your curves and presets graphically? May the price of this contraption be not in the thousands... Last edited: Feb 10, 2013 19:56:43 Top

CrispyGoodness Joined: Apr 06, 2009 Posts: 565 North Cackalacky	Posted on Feb 11 2013 08:46 PM My buddy Jay (a bass player) reminded me of an idea for a pedal we had years ago: A bass fuzz that played the fuzz an octave higher, and allowed you to either blend it with your original clean signal, or run the effected signal out to a separate channel/amp. The idea was to simulate the sound of the fuzz guitar on a lot of 60's garage band records, where the guy with the Maestro was always playing the same thing the bass player was anyway. The name? Electro-Harmonix tried it way back when but I guess it was just another fakey delay.. Second, a pedal that combines a reverberated signal output and a separate fuzz output from the same source guitar that would combine to sound like a fuzz background track to a reverberated, twangy guitar track. A long time ago a friend of mine came up with an idea for a pedal called a "riff box" it would make anything you play no matter how bad sound like a classic rock riff. Of course he had no clue how something like that could be made, but thought it would be a cool thing to have.
