Noel, I hear you about using a borrowed computer. Installing a Firefox plugin might not be the equivalent of installing a regular application, depending upon your moral frame of reference.

I'll see what I can do, but I've already been "urged" not to muck up any more computers. This experience inspires me to name my surf band The Luddites.

Ha-ha, I had no idea it was Super Bowl Sunday when I scheduled the chat. However I enjoyed chatting with Bigtikidude and Danny.

I'll be there... I've been pretty sick all week so no band practice. Can't wait to chat though!

From an earlier post
Tinkering on an iPad2 ... Wondering if/what IRC clients there might be. A few in the app store, but then I found mibbit, a browser based option (free). Seems to be working. Presumably works from any browser...
http://chat.mibbit.com/
You have to click the SERVER link to enter irc.surfguitar101.com
Then the AUTH link (short for authentication, meaning password) where you choose the AUTHENTICATION TYPE "Pass" in the pull down and then enter morereverb.
Nick (means Nickname)... that's your SG101 handle.
Lastly, fill in the box for Channel... #ShallowEnd
Hit the Connect button and... Ta-DoW! KaPoW! Action Jackson.
