That's cool, we just disagree. Looks like he's having a blast and taking the crowd along for the ride...wish I was there.

I like the unpredictable nature of improvisation.

I ended up spending my money on Charles Bradley, an amazing singer on the Dap-Tone label. I agree, everyone should see Dick Dale once (and I've seen him at least half a dozen times), but like Jeff, I think I'm done as well. Although he's usually better than the surf medley video posted here.

I'll let you guys know how he's doing... I will be seeing him on Thursday along with the Pyronauts Big Grin

Well, It was a killer show !

The Pyronauts opened and truly set the bar pretty high for the night. Paul and the rest of the band had the crowed going nuts in no time. At one point Paul got up and sat on Bob's shoulders and they both played like that on the floor(in the crowed). The place went crazy, It was a good tight set and they sounded really good!

Dick Played the best that I have seen him play in about four years.
He came out rocking and didn't stop to say a word for about 4 or 5 songs.
Some of the songs were a little shorter than normal but, he kept a good pace going and the sound was Dick's signature loud.
In my opinion, having Dusty and Sam back-lining for him made him play better than he has with Jimmy and Sam. What I'm trying to say is, I think Dick was so focused on Jimmy, that he let his own playing suffer.
Dick did get a little confused a couple of times but the boys got him straitened out real quick. Talking with Sam And Dusty after the show, I could tell they are both very worried about Dicks health.

All in all It was a very enjoyable night and well worth the money.
I hope he makes it back around to northern California again.

I'd buy a ticket! Yes

^ Might Dale be in the early stages of alzheimer's? My mom has that.
