For those of you using DAW to record, here is a link with spectacular emulations of Vox and Farfisa combo organs.

Is this a standalone VST or does it universally work with any/most DAWs?

It works with any/most DAWs. I am using it on Sonar 8.5.

I believe it works as a standalone as well, but I haven't tried it.

I have had some time to experiement with these now. First of all I have to say that they sound outstanding. Run them through one of the Fender amps in Amplitube Fender and they really come alive.
I have had the name Farfisa drilled into my brain since joining this genre a decade or so ago, but never had any first-hand experience with them. With that said, if these are even close to the real thing, the Vox Continental blows the Farfisa out of the water in regard to richness of tone.

The 'real' Vox Continental does blow the 'real' Farfisa Compact out of the water! I have both and the Vox wins every time, Although the Farfisa does have it's own charm.

They have Victor's approval. ;) That is good enough for me. This man knows tone. Whoever made these did some great work. For them to be free is awesome.
