Permalink Music Man amp in action

New Topic

The recent posts by Noel about the Music Man amp that's for sale got me inspired to bring mine out to last night's gig in Denver. It roared, and delivered the goods all night. Excellent onboard reverb, and a deep trem, too.

Very good and under-rated amps imho.

METEOR IV on reverbnation

That looks like my same exact amp, Fenderfan! 65 112

That's the same one, Matt. I've held onto it forever, because it just never disappoints and sounds excellent..

I just found this old thread about these amps.

Provides an interesting comparison. Not so universally popular back then. Just FYI, the one in my local guitar store is all tube.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

I really like my MM amp. I have the first-generation tube pre-amp. The reverb is a little weak on mine, but I use a tank anyway, so it doesn't matter. MM is a great line of amps.

I really like my rp115. I've dated it to be a '78, so it's got the ss pre-amp & is super clean. I had a local tech tweak the reverb circuit, because it was weak (even w/ a new pan) when I bought it. I know it doesn't drip like a tank, but the guys/gals @ the bar don't Smile
