I have been looking forward to this one. I was just listening to your "Surfites and Co." cd yesterday. The Hangee V and the Angry Breed! Very cool of you to mention Shawn, too. He is one of my favorite artists on the scene and that is one of my favorite works by him. |

Yeah, Shawn definitely draws some bitchen stuff and seems to have become quite a name in the scene, designing shirts for Fender among other prestigious jobs. First pressing of the EP is limited to 300 copies including 50 on clear red vinyl. I should also have mentioned above that the record label is doing a contest among the pre-order customers, where one lucky bastard will win a test-press copy of the record. And for anyone who isn't familiar with our side project, here are a couple more Angry Breed videos I located on YouTube: — |

Yeah, totally weird and totally cool. It actually took me a couple of listens before I really got into it. — |

That Angry Breed drum sound is so old school - I love it! Both youtube videos above are great tracks, thanks for posting - the super buzzy guitar & LoFi drums on Angry Breed are super - the crazy layered sound on Hangee V's Green Slippers is fun to try to dissect - I can think of a way to pull it off live with just a 4 piece, but it would be quite a tap dance! If anyone here happens to be in Cagliari, Italy tomorrow night, the Hangees are having a boss release party for the EP: http://www.facebook.com/events/284319331669932/ whistledixie wrote:
I think recorded drums are the most difficult instrument to get to sound "right" and we are very pleased with how they turned out for this release. I'm personally not a fan of the often static and sterile sounding drums heard on so many recordings these days. Drums are supposed to sound wild. — |

Klas, are you guys selling any of these yourself, or just through the label? —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

Warren, (or anyone else thinking of ordering through the label) I'm still waiting after a month. Will keep you posted. |

Just through the label (and their distribution). However, I don't know if the Hangees are doing mailorder although I know they sold a bunch at the release party and maybe doesn't have that many copies left. websurfer wrote:
A month in transfer sounds long although the Italian Postal Service isn't exactly famous for their efficiency. Have you tried contacting the label asking about it? Also, I seem to recall that Pigi told me that the label guy had a lot of packages to send out at the time of the release (not just our record but a couple of other new releases as well). For anyone who prefer ordering the record from the U.K. instead of Italy, it's now also available from Brassneck Records (only standard black vinyl though). Not sure if there will be any actual U.S. distribution. — |
