We also play ROCKULA with a little mix of the Munster's theme before the lead break.

"When I want to swing, I fly to Mars, and dig the sounds of the Ghost Guitars"... Classic!

That Moontrekkers track is killer. I see a new arrangement in the near future.

Ghhhhooooosttttt hooooooppppp!!

Part of my spooky Halloween listening repertoire is the Radio Free Bakersfield Halloween shows. Some really cool spooky tunes on them!

To download/stream them, you can go to the archive here: RFB Archive

The podcast numbers for the previous Halloween shows are
Halloween 2007 - rfb055
Halloween 2008 - rfb104
Halloween 2009 - rfb154 (my personal favorite. GREAT tunes!)
Halloween 2010 - rfb203
Halloween 2011 - rfb249

Looking forward to hearing this year's Halloween show too. Coming soon Mr. Hay?

totally weird

The Messer Chups' "Dried Human Head From Ecuador" from the Zombie Shopping album puts a chill down my spine. That whole album is a Halloween album. Delightful use of Vincent Price sampling.

Couldn't find a video to post.

So, what's your favorite spooky number to play?

The Cramps - Human Fly would be a good one..... make it drone, drop D and pick through your best Lux imitation.

(Love me some Poison Ivy!)

Frankie Stein and his Ghouls? Ghastly Ones (and not just because of their name or spooky themed titles) - genuinely spooky music!

Bomboras for sure - especially Head Shrinking Fun as Ivan pointed out.

And, oh, I don't know - how about the entire freakin' Creature Feature LP by Satan's Pilgrims?

Some slightly non-instro but relevant:

Deadbolt
Southern Culture on the Skids - Zombified

This one's pretty unpleasant...

The reigning collector of this kind of stuff is probably Brandonio.

Truer words were never spoken! It's a freaking obsession! Dead

Yes, Brandonio puts out a great Halloween collection every year that isn't to be missed. We have used it as the in-between during our annual Halloween show for the past two years.

Brandonio....I am not in the know, but would like to be...how about some clues - or a PM?

Great suggestions - keep 'em coming!

When you have iTunes open, click Advanced and open "Subscribe to Podcast," and just paste this link "http://www.bangcartoon.com/podcasts/spahnranch/spahnranch.xml" in there and it should start downloading the latest episode and list the back catalog.

Hope that helps.
