I have to count it very fast to fit 6/8, seems very natural in 4/4 (one-and-a-two-and-a) and it sure as hell doesn't sound like a waltz to me, you'd have a hell of a time trying to dance a waltz to that song.

ok, I get what you are saying here - for 4/4 it is: 1 tick tick 2 tick tick 3 tick tick 4 tick tick.

That was my thinking. However, Noel is absolutely correct, 6/8 it is and the video clip demonstrates this without question. The melody could be written in 4/4 and it would make sense but that is not the feel of the tune. my bad.

I expect that this subject has been debated once or twice over the past 50 years Smile

We are all right! That doesn't happen very often.

That was SO cool! But when I printed out my MusicNotes copy Sleepwalk sheet music, it was in 6/8. Oh well.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Maybe this is why I gave up on music theory when I was a kid.

Let me add 'Moon over Manakoora'.

The Hicadoolas

I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition! Well, it was quick googling so forgive me for throwing in a Satriani song.

I hate to say that, but that quick googleing ain't just accurate.

2/2: it's keyboads sheet music. Should be thought and played ternary (6/8)
6/8: That's it.
2/2: See above. Same stuff.
4/4: Hmm; not really, the part moves to 12/8 wich is just a pair of 6/8 mes.
4/4: That's a different song also called "sleep walk" ...google ;)
12/8: Same thing.

Anyway, that thong oughta be played the way you like.
