Permalink Looking for guitarists/drummer in the DC Metro area

Well.....the band kind of imploded a couple months back. Finally got in the mood to start looking for new players. Need guitarist(s) and a drummer. I'm in the Northern Montgomery County area. Ideally working on covers to begin with, but not just the usual classics. Would like to open up to a lot of the newer stuff out there as well. Ideally, I'd like to start writing our own songs in the future. Had possibilities for paid gigs....would like to pursue those. Not looking for a lot of work....just to play out once in a while.

ooooo! cooooool! good luck, Will!

Good Luck brutha,
it's gotta be hard being a bass player,
and wanting to start a surf band.
I have always toyed with the idea.
But most guitarists I know, always seem to be the guys wanting to pick the songs/direction/look of the band.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

yeah, but the bass players always drive the cool cars and attract all those groovy groupies... oh wait...no, sorry...that's the guitar players too...

Old punks never die... They just become surf rockers.

i feel your pain, our band imploded (not to my surprise) yesterday and left us without a bass player. at our last gig we had over 100 people in attendance and the bar took in $3500. sheezz..... we had two more events lined up which we've had to cancel. at least we have someone else interested in stepping in but he doesn't know all our tunes.

as the music world turns.....

That sucks Mom. If I was a little bit closer....... Guitar

I've had a few responses, surprisingly enough. Took me over a year to get the first guys.....maybe not so long this time??? Hoping it turns out.

But for the Potomac River, you'd only be about 20 miles away.

Sean

Wish you were closer to Baltimore...
