So with the power being out in New Orleans this past week, I thought I would try to pull the power out of the show. LAID BACK! I contacted all the local surf groups seeing if anybody wanted to attempt an acoustic set. The Bills thought it was a stupid enough idea that they couldn't pass it up. I LOVE the results, I'll probably post them individually later the duo-tones - the wedge dean hightower - hawaiian hop kookie joe band - the kookie limbo bob keene orchestra - swahili the aqua velvets - smoking panatelas on the blue mediterraneon sea the barbwires - the kockroach bills unplugged - 3 songs Jim Messina and the Jesters - high voltage |

Very enjoyable change of pace from the usual fare that passes for instrumental surf rock these days. I can listen to this one over and over! Did you get the names of the Bill's live songs? BTW, I appreciate the effort it takes to time-stamp the songs as accurately as possible in the wtul.radioactivity.fm playlists. This plist info can become a handy index of songs for your show in the iTunes Lyrics tab that displays on an iPod. |

Nice, never occured to me that our logs could be used that way! Glad you liked that show, I thought I would get tired of it by the end but I still had sooo much more I wanted to play. As for the Bills songs, I need to sit down and make sure I've got the names right, then I'll post individual MP3s I'm on in about FIFTEEN MINUTES! No theme this week, just straight ahead killer stuff! www.wtul.fm 4-6PM CST — |
