Permalink For Sale: 1967 Fender Vibrolux Amp

New Topic

Hi Gear Heads,

For sale is a 1967 Fender Vibrolux amplifier. Sounds great, absolutely drips with reverb! This was the amp I played through for years with my band, The Sub-Mersians. Asking price is $2500.

Pics on Craigslist at http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/msg/3243811692.html, or I can email pics to you. Serious inquiries only, please!

Thanks for your interest,
Jessica (former guitarist / bassist for The Sub-Mersians)

Hi Jessica,
That amp is a sweet beauty, and I'm sure it sounds even better than how it looks. But, maybe the collectible value for those Vibroluxes has gone a little bit too high in the last years, and their prices followed this trend, obviously and necessarily. Please do not misunderstand me, this is absolutely not an attempt to make you lower your asking price, it's just a consideration on how vintage gear prices are driven by collectors, and not by players Wink
Ciao, here is "gear-head" Guido from Italy.

Oh, I forgot: here is a clip where you can see and hear Jessica's Vibrolux Reverb in action..... what a dripping sound, what a nice Mosrite, and what a skillful player she is !!! Shock

Hi Guido,

Point taken. "Collectible" amps sure are not the most affordable these days, in part because they are so rare. I would be willing to negotiate the price if I get interest from a serious player - I would love to see this amp go to a new owner who will play through it live, not just store it for its collectible value.

All the best,
Jessica

Really cool video there!! Thanks
