I'm sporadically seeing slow response times and occasional "fail to connect to server surfguitar101.com" messages in the browser. Maybe port capacity issue (I'm not getting 404's)?
Anyone else?

I'm seeing excessive page load times. Nothing on the server seems to be messed up. I think there is some network problem in my hosts network. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

The SG101 welcome page has been getting slower in recent months, particularly the loading time of the photo which now takes about 5 seconds to appear. I have a healthy pc with a recently reformatted HDD, unfortunately the fresh OS install didn't make the welcome page run faster. |

What browser are you using? It loads fine for me, using Firefox or Chrome. But then again I'm in the US. If you are using IE you might want to try another browser. It is known to be much slower than Firefox or Chrome when it comes to Javascript (which is used for that fade-in effect). —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea Last edited: Aug 27, 2012 08:48:18 |

True i'm a IE9 user and reluctant to change. I'll have to wait for IE10! |

PS. Thanks for the Javascript tip Brian, i looked it up on the net and followed this advice: In Internet Options, Advanced, tick software rendering. The welcome page & photo now loads quickly. |
