Why would you pull them before trying them out? The AVRI pickups sound great.

AVRI pickups do indeed sound pretty good. Fralin pickups sound great, however. It gives the guitar a little something extra, having owned vintage models, and played lots of others, I'd always swap out the AVRI pickups in any of my guitars with Fralins.

I agree.
I also loves Fralins, but I'm perfectly content with the AVRI pups. I take the old philosophy that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. By the way, new AVRI pickups cost about $35-45 each-and they come with the covers. Just a thought.

I'd say less than a dash, but certainly more than a pinch.

I agree, the AVRI pickups are very good. A 500K volume pot and high pass filter cap make them damn good.

A set of AVRI Jazzmaster pickups with pickup covers (mine don't include the covers) just sold for $86.84 shipped and PP'ed. A set of Fender aged white covers are only $7.43.
Buy mine and upgrade that Squier today!

Its a free country (so far) and its not my guitar, but how about the value of the pickups being born with the guitar should you or someone desire to return the guitar to factory stock?

Price lowered a skosh.
For those asking why I don't keep them, this will be my 2nd AVRI Jazzy and the other one does have stock AVRI pickups. I do like them, but want something a little different in this guitar.
