Any spots left???

oh no!!!!! we've lost dp due to an injury. he was to be our rhythm player on 'checkpoint echo'. is there anyone that can pick this up at the last minute?

www.surfintheeye.com

I have bad news to report: went to the doctor today, and due to an injury, I will be unable to attend and play during the member's jam.

I was loading and unloading a bunch of scuba gear with my son out of the Jeep and I managed to injure myself with a gnarly abdominal hernia above the navel...

Doc said to take it easy and don't over-exert until I can get surgery in a few weeks... earlier in the week I was trying the bass and guitar and even carrying those instruments around for any length of time was uncomfortable.
Playing live really isn't a good idea right now...

Sorry Mom and Insect Dave and JP and Lorenzo, I'll have to catch you all next time after I have the Kevlar patch installed...

can't wait. I have been working on Checkpoint Echo this week. Interesting tune, and constantly evolving bass line. I am glad that this is happening in the morning!

the lead is ever evolving too. it is an interesting tune for sure. looking forward to playing it with you.

Yes. It will nice to meet you and to play with you. I am glad that I got on this tune as it is a little outside of what I normally get to play, it isn't trad. Hopefully somebody can step up to the plate and do the rhythm guitar.

I've got ya covered unless someone else that's not already on the list wants to join up!

Get well soon, dp!!

Ferenc, why don't you take it. I know you were looking for a spot, and I'm already playing on another song.

Thanks, Jamie. Carol, I look forward to it, and DP, take care and heal quick!

sorry Mike,
see the post above.

Jeff, you need to change the entry for Shockwave/Timebomb so it says Jonpaul, not JP...

Here are some photos from the Jam. Sorry I didn't get to catch every group, but it's a chaotic time (especially when you're playing) and I was sharing the camera with my girlfriend at the time.

I was also busy pouting over my sub-par performance. I blame the sound guy!!! Big Razz

Send me a PM if you want any unedited full size copies of any of these.

On a personal note, it was an honor sharing the stage with not only two musicians that I admire & respect, but with two friends. Thanks to Jonpaul and Juan for the awesome jam!

It was also an honor to play for so many esteemed guests and fellow members of this big "Reverb Family" of ours. Thank you!

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the photos Josh!

Looks like the Starting Gate got some new light fixture thingy?

Mostly recovered from the non-stop weekends sleep deprivation (and mostly caught back up on the jay oh bee) and finally getting to properly check in here.

BIG Thanks to remora1, JP, and Sir Dusty for having me be part of the Casbah jam, and to Aqualadius, Mad Scientist, Jonpaul, and El Fuerte for The Truant. While I'd imagined playing a little better myself, I couldn't have imagined it being any more of a rush in only the best way. /m/

Special Thank You to Supertonesurf for lending your Amazing surf machine Jaguar for both songs! And of course getting to plug into Matt's amp & tank was quite the treat (x2)!

And last, but not least, very much appreciate you taking and posting those pictures, Josheboy! While I will have my own memories for a long, long time, seeing the pictures bings them all right back. Awesome. Thank you!

Good eyes, Mom! Yes

Woody's is the heat - I am SOOO glad you introduced me to that place last year! Had a hunch we were too late to join you for the early bird special. Hunch validated. With any good fortune of making another Convention, we'll have to rectify the missed breakfast date @ Woody's.
